Therapy for stress & anxiety in NY
worries keep hijacking your life.
Folks who know you wouldn’t necessarily describe you as a worrier, but then again they don’t really know all the thoughts swirling around in your head. The reality is that your brain really doesn’t give you a rest! It’s common for you to be “tracking” multiple things in your mind at once, playing out multiple “what if” scenarios that leave you feeling exhausted. You can get so caught up in these worries that you can’t even enjoy things in real time!
It’s ok to slow down.
I’m here for you.
Sometimes you don’t know if you’re coming or going.
Mentally drained, you unintentionally end up snapping at folks, not having the same level of patience that you once had. Perhaps you’re becoming increasingly forgetful, missing deadlines at work or not delivering in ways that you know you’re capable of. Very likely, sleeping has become increasingly difficult, and you end up doomscrolling or laying in bed, lost in your thoughts. Folks might be starting to comment that you’re getting irritable and they are starting to ask you what’s wrong.
You don’t know what to say in response, and you can’t seem to get a handle on the never-ending thoughts in your mind.
How I can help
Therapy for stress & anxiety can help you regain control of your worries.
Imagine how different life would feel if you could face the day with mental clarity. You can feel confident in your abilities and plans. You can learn to trust your self in making decisions that align with your values.
Imagine being able to enjoy the moment with your loved ones, with little preoccupation or distracting internal thoughts. As you learn to quiet your mind, you’ll notice that the worries have taken a back seat. You can feel at peace.
Here’s what we’ll do together
Let’s dig into those worry thoughts.
We will work together to get honest about your worries - to understand where they came from, to uncover when they’re most active, to identify how you’ve been dealing with them, and to understand how they are robbing you of your time and fulfilling relationships.
Together we will practice ways to challenge your worry thoughts, to learn to tolerate ambiguity, and to maintain presence of mind so that you can fully engage in your day to day.
